Where We Shopped

We started the long day of shopping at Kudzu Antiques in Decatur, where there were so many great midcentury modern goods as well as some new gift items.

From there, we went to the original location of Decatur Vintage Market, which was closing to prepare for a move, so everything was on sale! Then we went to the new location, where I found an incredible collection of uranium glass amber wine glasses. We also popped into Mother Lode Vintage and Antiques.

Where to Drink

Decatur and neighboring Avondale Estates have a wealth of breweries, so the hardest part is deciding which one. This time, we went to Sceptre Brewing, which has nice outdoor seating.

Other favorites in this area are Wild Heaven and Three Taverns. Brick Store Pub has also been named one of the best bars in America for its incredible beer selection and food. We also love S.O.S. Tiki Bar!

Where to Eat Nearby

Again, Decatur has excellent food, so there are plenty of options. We had breakfast at Rising Son. Other favorites in this area include Kimball House (a splurge!), Chai Pani, and The Iberian Pig.
