Where We Shopped

In this episode, we visited two recent favorite stores, starting with Big Shanty Antiques and Auctions and then going on to our perpetual favorite, Cobb Antique Mall.
We found all sorts of items, including Fenton glass, vintage clothes, signs and art, and airline gear.
Where to Drink

We followed up our antiquing day at another favorite. Schoolhouse Brewing is a brewery in Marietta run by former schoolteachers, with converted school bus seats and a gym floor bar top. They also sell homebrew supplies and have a fenced play area for kids and pets.
Another option is Dry County Brewing in Kennesaw, which has a wide range of beer options as well as canned cocktails.
Where to Eat Nearby

In terms of local restaurants, this area has a lot of chains, but you’re not far from the mall, which has some great restaurants. Some of my favorites are the hand pulled noodles at 3+3 LanZhou, Khao soi at Soi 3 Thai, and cumin lamb noodles at Fire Stone Chinese.
Closer to the store, dine on burgers at Red Eyed Mule, Korean barbecue at Tofu Village, Mexican and margaritas at Cazadores, and bagels and deli sandwiches at Hoboken Bread & Bagel.
Other Places to Shop
Queen of Hearts Marietta is one of the best stores around and I always leave with something!
